Varsity Men’s Head Basketball Coach- Victory Charter School

Victory Charter School is taking applications and resumes for the position of Varsity Men’s Head Basketball Coach. The men’s basketball season will begin the second week of November 2025 and end the first week of March 2026. Additionally, coaches hold open gyms as permitted during the off-season, as well as schedule their team to participate in summer basketball tournaments in June (depending on coaches’ and players’ availability).

Duties as head basketball coach include: Collecting and keeping all required medical and parent consent forms; enforcing and modeling professionalism, discipline and sportsmanship at all times, including effective communication skills and modeling positive attitude and effort; supporting and adhering to policies and rules established by the IHSAA, State Board of Education, and Victory Charter School; carrying out safe and effective practices that emphasize team unity while developing student athletes’ fundamentals and skills; establishing consistent and fair team guidelines. Additionally, coaches must be aware of and support the tenets of the Harbor School Method, the method upon which the school was founded, so that the activities of the men’s basketball team are consistent with the players’ academic experience.

Upon hire, the coach must be able to pass a background check and complete the following certifications: St. Luke's Concussion Course, NFHS Sudden Cardiac Arrest Course, NFHS Student Mental Health and Suicide Prevention, Teacher Certification OR NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching. They must also have a current CPR/First-Aid Certification.

Part-Time Secretary for 2025-2026

Victory Charter School District #451 is taking applications and resumes for a part-time secretary for the 2025-2026 school year that will begin in August 2025. This position will alternate between working two days one week and three days the next week. The hours are 7 am to 3 pm. Pay is $22 per hour.

Successful candidates must be self-motivated, multi-taskers that enjoy coming to work displaying a positive attitude with a willingness to be flexible in tasks assigned. The secretary will support the administrators, teachers, students and visitors throughout the day. The position requires a person to operate a multi-line phone system and other office machines, such as copier and computer. Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required. Working knowledge of PowerSchool is a plus.

Additionally, Victory Charter School District #451 will not tolerate Sexual Misconduct in any form.
